The next Rural Opportunity and Development Session, “Opportunity Makers: Melding Health and Equity in Rural Places,” is being held virtually on November 10, 2020, 3:00 -4:30 PM ET. What does it take for rural healthcare systems to make economic development and building healthy communities part of their work? Some rural health professionals are transforming the way they work, creating a culture of hope along with health.
The ROAD Sessions virtual exchanges are co-designed and hosted by Thrive Rural – an effort of the Aspen Institute Community Strategies Group in partnership with the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation – in collaboration with the Housing Assistance Council, the Rural Community Assistance Partnership and Rural LISC. We hope the message of #ruralinnovation will reach an even larger audience because of this joint effort. If you have any questions, or if you’d like help sharing the event, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Strategies Group’s Clifford Deaton at Clifford.Deaton@aspeninst.org.
